These Two Cats Wont Stop Clinging To Each Other After They Were Abandoned At The Shelter By Their Owner

We may never know why two adorable kitties were discarded at Amarillo Animal Management & Welfare in Amarillo, Texas, by their owner, but we do know they need a safe and loving home as soon as possible.

One cat cowered behind the other as they were admitted to the shelter, meowing as though attempting to grasp what was going on.

“These two adorable females were just abandoned by their owner,” Yellow City Shelter Cats, a volunteer website dedicated to finding homes for cats in need, posted on Tuesday. “It’s understandable that they’re anxious, agitated, and cling to each other.”

Every year, around 3.2 million cats visit animal shelters in the United States, with over 800,000 being killed. It’s difficult enough to find homes for all of these cats, but it’s even more difficult when the cats are attached and require a home together.

Update: According to Yellow City Shelter Cats, the two cats have found a foster home through DAWGS.
