SHE IS SOON LEFT WITH ONE TINY CALICO FIGHTING FOR ITS LIFE!

SHE SEES A HEAVILY PREGNANT STRAY CAT IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE WALKING THE STREETS, SHE CALLS FOR HELP!
After the Good Samaritan had called for help Stefany from Chatons Orphelins Montréal, Canada, soon arrived on the scene before it was too late! Soon she was able to bring the expectant Mom to safety.

After her life trying to survive on the streets, she was clearly afraid of humans, though she still allowed Stefany to help. Even tolerating a visit to the vet for an examination! Stefany named her Kiara.

An ultrasound showed she was pregnant alright, two tiny kittens were waiting to come into the outside world.

Vets estimated there was still around two weeks before delivery, however, things proceeded much faster than that.

Kiara gave birth to two very small and equally fragile kittens. Only one survived, despite all their best efforts to save both kittens.

In the end, one little Calico clung to her Mum fighting to stay alive.

Latching on for dear life she was not gaining any weight despite Mom’s best efforts to feed her, it soon became clear Kiara was not producing milk.

A VOLUNTEER STEPS IN TO HELP!

A volunteer offered to syringe feed the little tyke around the clock. With Kim’s help, the tiny Calico was soon putting on weight, on first day in the outside world she only weighed 74 grams.

Apprehensive at first when Kim took her baby away, Kiara soon realized that Kim was only trying to help.

“Now, she will meow when she wants her foster mom to come in to tend to Luciole,” as Kim named her.

Luciole needs around the clock care and attention in order to do well, something that Kim and Kiara supply in spades.

One thing the cute calico had going for her was her huge appetite.

“Her cat mom keeps her clean and warm after every feeding,” said Celine.

With Kim and Kiara’s help, Luciole was now blossoming.

“Kiara is a good mom. When the kitten is hungry, she calls for her foster mom to come to feed her baby.”

By the time she was two weeks old, the tiny fighter weighed in at a whopping 230 grams, with a very bright future set before her.
