Cat Befriends A Homeless Kitten In The Garden And Takes Him Home

Klarieke lives on a beautiful farm in the Netherlands with his family. They adopted three gorgeous felines called Jack, Louis, and Stavros when in Greece a year ago. They believed that this trio was sufficient and that they would not have any more pets at home, but they were mistaken.
A little kitten came in his garden a little more than a month ago, was shy, and was extremely skinny. The woman wasn’t sure whether she had any homes, and on one of her yard trips, she saw Stavros sitting next to the small kitten as two excellent buddies.
The cat was watching him play and seemed to be quite observant of the child.
Klarieke stated,
“Stavros was a feral who was severely ill. He was rescued by a Dutch girl who spends the summer in Zakynthos. We chose to adopt him since he was seeking for a home (for the cat) in Holland. ‘This is the final cat, three is plenty,’ my husband and I agreed.”

The kitten would enter the family garden, hide among the tomato plants, and eventually reach the shed while being attentively observed by Stavros.
The family noticed the two felines’ bond, enjoying pleasant playtimes and napping together; the kitten felt comfortable close to Stavros.

Klarieke was pleasantly delighted to find the small kitten among them one day at his pets’ feeding time. He was eating off Stavros’ plate, and it didn’t worry him in the least; he quietly let the kitten eat until he was full, and he appeared relieved to know that his tiny companion wouldn’t go hungry that night.

Klarieke decided to make an extra dish of food, and the tiny one gradually overcome his shyness and approached the family to feed himself and receive some attention.
“In the shed, I gave the cat his own plate of food, but he bolted when he spotted me. He must have been so hungry that he risked going in to eat.”

At the time, no one came to claim the small kitten, and he appeared more at ease at Klarieke’s home with each passing day. They chose to call him ‘Charlie,’ and despite his shyness around his new human family, he followed Stavros and tried to emulate everything he did.
Klarieke continued:
“Stavros took on the role of a father to him, and the kitten began to spend more time in the shed with him during the day.”

After a few weeks, Charlie decided to enter the house with the help of Stavros, who pushed him to follow him inside and never left his side as he explored the area.
Klarieke stated,
“Charlie has officially moved in with us, and we now have a fourth cat. When it’s time for supper, he walks into the kitchen and lets us pet and even embrace him.”

Charlie, who didn’t know how to use the litter box at first, gradually accustomed to everything in the house. Klarieke feels that Stavros directed and assisted him in everything.
The tiny boy was also transported to the veterinarian, who checked on his health.

Charlie continues to love spending time in the shed with his closest friend and is gradually becoming more open to his people. He is grateful for his wonderful family and the constant support that Stavros provides.

Charlie now understands that he will never go hungry or be alone again, and that Stavros will always look after him. They are now a huge family, and everyone is overjoyed.
